If you're reading this, something in your life probably feels harder than it should — a relationship stuck on repeat, a body that won't let go of the past, a part of you that's never had the room to speak.

I specialize in trauma treatment and somatic therapy; couples counseling drawing on EFT and Gottman-informed work; sex-positive intimacy work; Internal Family Systems, to help you understand and befriend every part of yourself; narrative therapy, to help you reshape the stories you've been carrying; and OCD treatment using Exposure and Response Prevention.

You don't have to untangle it alone. I'd be honored to walk alongside you toward feeling whole, understood, and connected — inside and out.

How I help

Support for what's weighing on you

The heart of my work is trauma, disconnection, and stuck intimacy. Individuals and couples, in person in Hurricane or by telehealth across Utah and Idaho.

Trauma, held in the body

When you understand your trauma but your body still won't let go of the past, we go beyond talk. Internal Family Systems and somatic work help your system finally put it down.

Couples & intimacy

Rebuild connection, communication, and desire in a sex-positive space. LGBTQ+ affirming, kink-friendly, and open to polyamory and every other relationship structure.

OCD & anxiety

Exposure & Response Prevention — the gold standard for OCD — plus practical tools for anxiety, so intrusive thoughts loosen their grip.

Coming back to yourself

Depression, mood, grief, stress, codependency, self-esteem — untangle the old stories you carry and write ones that actually fit.

When it's more than one thing

Eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, dual diagnosis, personality disorders — heavier territory, met with steadiness rather than alarm.

Family & parenting

Family conflict, behavioral issues, and the strain of parenting — for the household, not just the person in the chair.

“Shelbie is quick to respond to new patients and works in collaboration with other healthcare providers with ease. She is highly effective with patients who struggle with addiction. She is kind and compassionate.”

A small pause

Before you scroll on — one breath.

This is the heart of somatic work: noticing what your body is doing right now, and giving it a moment of room. Follow the circle.

My approach

Deeper than insight

We move from stabilization to deeper processing, at a pace your nervous system can hold. Expect fewer overwhelming reactions, more self-trust, and closer connection with the people you love.

Every part of you gets to make sense

Even the ones that feel exiled, protective, or ashamed. Expect curiosity, not judgment, and room for all of it.

You'll see it happen in real time

You won't just talk about your patterns — you'll notice them show up in the room, and learn to shift them.

Blended to fit you

Somatic therapy, IFS, and narrative work, tailored to what you need rather than run off a protocol.

Questions

Before you call

Yes — a free 15-minute call so we can see if we're a good fit before you commit to anything. Reaching out is the hardest step, and this makes it a small one.

Individual sessions are $160 and couples sessions are $170. A sliding scale is available by application, so cost doesn't have to be the thing that stops you.

Yes — I see clients in person in Hurricane and by telehealth anywhere in Utah and Idaho, with flexible daytime availability.

That experience is exactly who I work best with. If talk therapy gave you insight but the stuckness stayed, we add what was missing: somatic and parts work that includes your body and nervous system, not just your thoughts.
